Show notes

Introduction

It is the 30th of October, 2020. Welcome to episode 11 of the Delivering Development podcast, helping language teachers and others in the field to enhance their professional development. My name is Kevin Westbrook, and I am joined today by Laura Styles.

Topics

Kevin and Laura are talking about a few of the issues involved with running language assessment online. Kevin introduces the idea of reducing cheating by having an approach to assessment design that makes cheating less effective, while Laura explains the ideas behind her approach of “Blooming up” her assessments (see link below about Bloom’s taxonomy).

Bloom’s taxonomy material – a decent starting point, but a simple search will find a huge number of resources.
