Title: Teaching in the digital age: what every language teacher should know
Outline:
This talk aims to provide an essential guide to teaching in the digital age, and is divided in three parts. Part one will focus on ‘innovation’ and update participants on some key developments in hardware and ELT software. Part two will critically analysis a number of key technologies and approaches, including the interactive whiteboard and M-Learning (mobile learning). Part three will provide a range of practical teaching ideas in the following areas: grammar, vocabulary, language skills, phonology and game-based learning. Participants will leave with an overview of digital developments, and ideas on the emerging new pedagogies.
